Supporting students from state-funded secondary schools to consider a career in Surgery...
We are a community based initiative working to empower and guide aspiring students from state-funded secondary schools on their journey towards a fulfilling career in Medicine and Surgery. The initiative strives to expand access to Medicine and advocate for equality and diversity in the future generations of doctors and surgeons.
With invaluable support from consultant surgeons at the Leicester Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Unit, we actively engage with state-funded secondary schools and local community centres to deliver inspiring talks aimed at igniting a passion for Surgery amongst Key Stage 3 and 4 students.

For students aged over 16 who are considering a career in Surgery, we help to arrange clinical work experience placements with support from Surgeons at the Leicester Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Unit.
