Mr Neil Bhardwaj

MBChB, MD, MMIS, PGCert (Med Ed.), FRCS

Mr Bhardwaj was appointed to the Leicester HPB unit in 2015. He graduated from Leicester Medical School in 2001 and undertook an MD in Leicester between 2005-2007 where his research focused on ablation of liver tumours.


He undertook his surgical training in Leicester along with fellowships in Adelaide and Oxford. He was also awarded a Masters in Minimal Invasive surgery (MMIS) from the University of Adelaide. Mr Bhardwaj has published widely in the field of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary surgery and his main interests include ablative technologies to treat unresectable liver tumours and minimally invasive surgery. He is the joint lead for undergraduate surgical education at the University of Leicester, Leicester Medical School.


He has 2 young children and his interests include cycling and golf…weather and wife permitting.
